5.19

疏　以彼下，二、別釋今義，二：初、約教法釋如來根本。以二門是諸法之根本，又一心是二門之根本，彼文之中正明此義。佛說法門雖則無量，若其根本無出於斯。此乃馬鳴菩薩解釋化身釋迦如來所說法門之中深奧根本之義也。

Commentary: From "Because that" down, the second part specifically explains the present meaning, which has two parts: first, explaining the fundamental of the Tathāgata in terms of the teaching Dharma. Because the two aspects are the fundamental of all dharmas, and furthermore the One Mind is the fundamental of the two aspects, that text formally clarifies this meaning. Although the Dharma gates spoken by the Buddha are measureless, their fundamental does not go beyond this. This is Bodhisattva Aśvaghoṣa explaining the profound and fundamental meaning among the Dharma gates spoken by the transformation body, the Tathāgata Śākyamuni.
