疏　問前下，□性相存泯不齊。難問意可知，但躡前門相不存義，前難後門理不失也。

[On the Commentary's] "Question: The preceding..." below, [the heading is missing a character: ...] that nature and marks are not uniform in their persistence and extinguishment. The intent of the objection can be known; it merely pursues the preceding gate's meaning of marks not persisting, to question the subsequent gate's meaning of principle not being lost.
