8.48

若約下，五、束八義成四門。言分相者，謂分齊法相也。以一切淨緣分齊法相，屬於二覺；一切染緣分齊法相，屬二不覺。又於中淨法之體屬於本覺，淨法之用屬於始覺。染法之體屬根本不覺，染法之相屬枝末不覺。故合前八以成四也。

"If in terms of...", fifth, bundling the eight meanings into four approaches. Regarding "divided marks", this refers to the delimited marks of dharmas. Because all delimited marks of dharmas of pure conditions pertain to the two enlightenments; all delimited marks of dharmas of defiled conditions pertain to the two non-enlightenments. Furthermore, among these, the essence of pure dharmas pertains to original enlightenment, and the function of pure dharmas pertains to actualized enlightenment. The essence of defiled dharmas pertains to fundamental non-enlightenment, and the marks of defiled dharmas pertain to branch-and-twig non-enlightenment. Therefore, the preceding eight are combined to form four.
