然此下，二、料揀四相。意顯真心隨無明熏，從細至麁，從惑至業。寄此惑業之上，說為四義，乃是一期之四相也。非約等者，剎那之中雖具四相，非今所辨故乃揀之。

"However, this..." below: Second, sorting out and examining the four marks. The intention is to reveal that the true mind perfumed by avidyā goes from subtle to coarse, from delusion to karma. Entrusted upon this delusion and karma, it is spoken of as four meanings, which are the four marks of a single period. As for "not with regard to," etc.: although a single kṣaṇa possesses the four marks, it is not what is distinguished here, and is therefore excluded.
