The Treatise states: Regarding "Yet there are...", second: resolving the further challenge. The Commentary states: Regarding "Their seeing...", it means that in the ocean of buddhahood's fruition there is only great concentration, wisdom, and compassion, without physical marks. Sentient beings' seeing of physical marks is manifested by their karmic consciousness and belongs to the differentiated marks of avidyā. Therefore the lower text says: "It is only according to the seeing and hearing of sentient beings that benefits are obtained; hence it is described as function." Regarding "Not this...", it is explained in terms of transcending marks. Therefore the lower text states that all buddha tathāgatas are solely bodies of dharmakāya and marks of wisdom, the ultimate truth, and have no conventional truth that can be seen. Since they are called dharmakāya, marks of wisdom, and the ultimate truth, how could there be a non-empty nature such as form within this? Regarding "Furthermore, also...", it is explained in terms of the virtues of nature. That is the truly good and subtle form, which is the mark of nature itself. Although named "form", it is also not a visible mark; hence the treatise calls it "wisdom-form." Regarding "Because fundamentally...", earlier it was said: "Because the sphere transcending conceptual thought is only conjoined with through realization." Later it says: "The dharmakāyas of all buddhas have no other or self, and physical marks mutually see one another."
