In [the explanation of] the fourth [point], the śāstra states: "The worlds of sentient beings are not identical..." This may divide sentient beings and their physical environment, or refer only to sentient beings. It encompasses both meanings, because worlds and sentient beings each have immeasurable distinctions. "What is seen..." Because the faculties, natures, and inclinations of those various sentient beings are different, the bodhisattvas demonstrate actions and functions, and even manifest bodies to preach the Dharma, each in accordance with the varied perceptions and hear-say of those beings. This is exemplified as explained in the chapters on Avalokiteśvara and Gadgadasvara.
