In the abundance of virtue, the treatise states: Regarding 'upholding', to receive the doctrinal principles and maintain them in one's mind, reflecting on them with a distracted mind even for the span of a meal, has merit beyond comparison. How much more so if one contemplates with a concentrated mind for a single day and night: the duration is longer and the practice superior, so the merit and virtue obtained are truly as stated, inconceivable and unspeakable.
