「瞿夷曰：『善！願我後生，常為君妻，好醜不相離；必置心中，令佛知之。今我女弱，不能得前，請寄二華，以獻於佛。』菩薩許焉。

"Gopikā said: 'Excellent! May it be that in my future lives I shall always be your wife, whether in beauty or ugliness never parting from one another. You must hold this in your mind and let the Buddha know it. Now, as a frail woman, I cannot go forward; please take these two flowers and present them to the Buddha on my behalf.' The bodhisattva consented to this.
