Sentient beings are also like this: the inherently pure mind is stirred by the wind of ignorance, giving rise to the waves of consciousness. These three things are all without shape or mark, neither one nor different. Yet the purely natural mind is the basis of the moving consciousness; when ignorance is extinguished, the moving consciousness is extinguished along with it, but the nature of wisdom is not destroyed.
