3.121

如水因風而有動相，以風滅故，動相即滅，非水體滅。若水滅者，動相應斷，以無所依（之水，則）無能依（之動）故，以水體不滅動相相續。

[Śāstra:] Just as water has moving marks due to the wind, because the wind ceases, the moving marks immediately cease, but the essence of the water does not cease. If the water ceased, the moving marks would be severed, because without that which is relied upon (the water), there is nothing that can rely upon it (the movement); because the essence of the water does not cease, the moving marks continue.
