3.79

不斷相應染者，謂第六識相應之分別法執，二乘法中所不斷也。信地菩薩即學唯心識觀，正伏此執，故至歡喜地中永盡無餘。

"Continuous associated defilement" refers to the imputed grasp of phenomena associated with the sixth consciousness, which is not severed in the teachings of the two vehicles. Bodhisattvas of the faith stage learn the contemplation of mind-and-consciousness-only and directly subdue this grasping; therefore, reaching the Joyous Stage, it is eradicated completely without remainder.
