3.81

分別智相應染者，謂第六識相應之俱生法執，雖是任運所起，以其不如實知真法一故，仍名分別智也。二離垢地名具戒，六現前地名具慧，分分漸斷名少分離。七遠行地名無相行，法空智果恒得現前，是故此染方得永盡。

"Defilement associated with discriminating wisdom" refers to the innate grasp of phenomena associated with the sixth consciousness; although it arises spontaneously, because it does not truly know the oneness of the true Dharma, it is still called 'discriminating wisdom.' The second stage, Free from Defilement, is called 'endowed with precepts'; the sixth stage, Manifest, is called 'endowed with wisdom'; gradually severing it part by part is called 'leaving it in small part.' The seventh stage, Far-Reaching, is called 'signless practice', where the fruit of wisdom regarding the emptiness of dharmas is constantly able to manifest before one; therefore this defilement is only then permanently eradicated.
