3.85

此由無始已來，妄執自心他心不同，所有習氣熏在第八識中，雖不與現行轉識相應俱起，而此習氣種子力故，未能自他互作，名為見心不相應染。若入第九心自在地，則此習氣永除，故能自身入定他身起，他身入定自身起，一身入定多身起、多身入定一身起，乃至具足四辯，一音普答一切眾生各別諸問難也。

From beginningless time, because of falsely clinging to the difference between one's own mind and other minds, all the habit energies perfumed into the eighth consciousness, although not arising in association with the active transforming consciousness, yet through the power of these seeds of habit energy, one is unable to act mutually between self and others; this is named the unassociated defilement of perceiving the mind. If one enters the ninth stage of mastery over the mind, these habit energies are permanently eliminated; thus one can enter absorption in one's own body and arise in another's body, enter absorption in another's body and arise in one's own body, enter absorption in one body and arise in many bodies, enter absorption in many bodies and arise in one body, up to being fully endowed with the four kinds of unobstructed eloquence, universally answering all questions and challenges of sentient beings individually with a single voice.
