4.25

妄心熏義有二種：一、分別事識熏，令一切凡夫、二乘厭生死苦，隨己堪能，趣無上道；二、意熏，令諸菩薩發心勇猛，速疾趣入無住涅槃。

"The meaning of the perfuming of the false mind has two kinds: first, the perfuming of the consciousness that discriminates phenomena, which causes all ordinary beings and [followers of] the two vehicles to loathe the suffering of birth and death and, according to their own capacity, advance toward the unsurpassed path; second, the perfuming of the manas, which causes the bodhisattvas to arouse vigorous aspiration and swiftly enter non-abiding nirvāṇa."
