現見諸法實性者，根本智證真也。顯照染淨差別者，後得智照俗也。了俗由證真，故說為後得，如眼除膜，見空見色，非果有先後也。餘並可知。

'Directly perceive the true nature of phenomena' means fundamental wisdom realizing the true. 'Clearly illumines defiled and pure distinctions' means subsequently attained wisdom illumining the conventional. Comprehending the conventional arises from realizing the true; hence it is spoken of as subsequently attained, just as when an eye has a cataract removed, it sees both emptiness and forms—it is not that there is a temporal sequence in the fruition. The rest can all be understood.
