5.91

能於一念遍往十方一切世界，供養諸佛，請轉法輪，唯為眾生而作利益，不求聽受美妙音詞。或為怯弱眾生故，示大精進，超無量劫，速成正覺；或為懈怠眾生故，經於無量阿僧祇劫，久修苦行，方始成佛。如是示現無數方便，皆為饒益一切眾生。而實菩薩種性、諸根、發心、作證，皆悉同等，無超過法，決定皆經三無數劫成正覺故；但隨眾生世界不同，所見所聞根欲性異，示所修行種種差別。

[The text of the treatise states:]
"He can, in a single thought-moment, travel everywhere to all worlds of the ten directions to make offerings to the Buddhas and request the turning of the wheel of the Dharma, solely to bring benefit to sentient beings, without seeking to listen to and receive melodious sounds and words. Or, for the sake of faint-hearted sentient beings, he manifests great vigor, transcending immeasurable kalpas to quickly achieve correct enlightenment; or, for the sake of lax sentient beings, he passes through immeasurable asaṃkhyeya kalpas, cultivating austerities for a long time before first becoming a Buddha. Manifesting countless expedients in this manner is entirely to bring benefit to all sentient beings. Yet in reality, the bodhisattva's gotra, faculties, arousal of mind, and realization are all equal, without any method of surpassing, for all definitely pass through three incalculable kalpas to achieve correct enlightenment; it is only in accord with the differences in the worlds of sentient beings, and the variations in their faculties, desires, and natures regarding what they see and hear, that he manifests various distinctions in his cultivated practices."
