This shows special insight within calm abiding. Contemplating that all phenomena are by their own nature nirvāṇa is the aspect of tathatā of the one mind, which is calm abiding. Directly perceiving that causes, conditions, and karmic retributions are neither lost nor destroyed is the aspect of arising and ceasing of the one mind, which is special insight. Simply within the nature that neither arises nor ceases, there is the false appearance of conditional arising and ceasing; thus it is clear that the four truths are solely the one mind. Because worldly causes and effects are suffering and origin, and transworldly causes and effects are the path and cessation, the distinctions of the ten realms are all the aspect of arising and ceasing of the mind, and are all based on the aspect of tathatā.
