6.66

此隨辨假佛菩薩等所說魔聲也。正修三昧之人不依氣息，不依形色，乃至亦遣除想，當知亦并不依總持，不依諸度，不依諸解脫門，乃至不依本性涅槃。才依本性涅槃，必將撥棄因果，妄計空劫已前、威音那畔一段烏有先生境界喚作真如三昧，豈所謂若知動心即不生滅，即得入於真如者耶？初辨形聲竟。

Here, it sequentially distinguishes the demonic sounds spoken by fake Buddhas, bodhisattvas, and so forth. A person properly cultivating samādhi does not rely on breath, does not rely on visible forms, and so forth, even discarding thought. One should know that they also do not rely on dhāraṇīs, do not rely on the perfections, do not rely on the gates of liberation, and even do not rely on the original nature being nirvāṇa. As soon as one relies on the original nature being nirvāṇa, one will inevitably reject cause and effect, falsely reckoning a realm of non-existence prior to the empty kalpa or on the other side of Bhīṣmagarjitasvararāja to be the tathatā samādhi. How could this be what is meant by 'if one knows that the stirred mind is just non-arising and non-ceasing, one then enters into tathatā'? The first part, distinguishing shapes and sounds, is finished.
