復次，若唯修止，心則沈沒，或生懈怠，不樂眾善，遠離大悲，是故宜應兼修於觀。云何修耶？
"Furthermore, if one only cultivates calm abiding, the mind will sink into lethargy, or indolence will arise, so that one does not delight in the various good [deeds] and leaves great compassion far behind. For this reason, one should concurrently cultivate special insight. How is it cultivated?"
