[The text of the treatise states:]
"Furthermore, after this bodhisattva has once aroused the mind, he benefits self and others, cultivates various austerities, and his mind is without faint-heartedness. He does not even fear falling into the stage of the two vehicles, how much less into the bad destinies? If he hears that he must diligently cultivate various difficult and painful austerities for immeasurable asaṃkhyeya kalpas before first attaining Buddhahood, he is neither startled nor terrified—how much less could he give rise to the mind of the two vehicles or fall into the bad destinies? For he has decisive faith that all phenomena are from the very beginning nirvāṇa by nature."
