通中別以八門分別（釋名辨性一　定別諸地并辨味淨無漏等別二　支因有無三　所滅不同四　得捨成就五　入緣不同六　四緣分別七　大小不同八）。

Within the general explanation, it is specifically differentiated through eight gates: (1) explaining the names and differentiating the natures; (2) determining the distinctions among stages and differentiating the distinctions between tainted, pure, and untainted; (3) presence and absence of branches and causes; (4) differences in what is eliminated; (5) attainment, abandonment, and possession; (6) differences in entering conditions; (7) differentiation by the four conditions; (8) differences between the Mahāyāna and Hīnayāna.
