19.20

次約涅槃以辨三身。如彼經說「涅槃有二：一是有餘，隨化現滅。二是無餘，實證體寂。」依前二身宣說有餘，依後真身宣說無餘。涅槃經又經宣說「依前二身，常隨世間不住無餘。依後真身，常寂離相不住有餘。」三身如是。

Next, the three bodies are distinguished with reference to nirvāṇa. As that sūtra says: 'There are two nirvāṇas: first is with remainder, manifesting extinction in accord with transformation. Second is without remainder, truly realizing essential quiescence.' Based on the former two bodies, [nirvāṇa] with remainder is declared; based on the latter true body, [nirvāṇa] without remainder is declared. Moreover, a sūtra declares: 'Based on the former two bodies, it continually accords with the world and does not abide in [nirvāṇa] without remainder. Based on the latter true body, it is eternally quiescent and free of characteristics, not abiding in [nirvāṇa] with remainder.' Such are the three bodies.
