20.61

次第六門四緣分別。如論中說「身口無失及與身口隨智慧行是色法故，唯二緣生，所謂因緣及增上緣。非心法故，不從緣緣、次第緣生。餘之十四心法功德具四緣生，從其過去善業熏起，是因緣生；心法相起，次第緣生；緣境而起，是緣緣生；萬法不障，增上緣生。」十八不共，略之云爾。

Next is the sixth gate, distinguishing them by the four conditions. As stated in the treatise: "The absence of fault in body and speech, and body and speech following wisdom, are material dharmas, and therefore are produced by only two conditions: namely, the cause condition and the sovereign condition. Because they are not mental dharmas, they are not produced from the objective condition or the immediate-equal condition. The remaining fourteen virtues of mental dharmas are produced possessing all four conditions: arising through the perfuming of past wholesome karma is production by the cause condition; arising successively as mental dharmas is production by the immediate-equal condition; arising in dependence on an object is production by the objective condition; and not being obstructed by the myriad phenomena is production by the sovereign condition."
