Next, discussing them in terms of persons: "Persons" refers to ordinary beings, śrāvakas, pratyekabuddhas, bodhisattvas, and buddhas. Ordinary beings, the two vehicles, and bodhisattvas fully possess the three karmas. For the Tathāgata alone, Mahāyāna and Hīnayāna differ. In the Hīnayāna teaching, it is proclaimed that the Tathāgata has wholesome and indeterminate, but no unwholesome karma, as spoken in the *Saṃyuktābhidharmahṛdaya*. Furthermore, as in the *Tattvasiddhi*, the Buddha's retribution is indeterminate, while his other virtues are wholesome. In the Mahāyāna teaching, it is proclaimed that the Tathāgata is solely wholesome, without unwholesome or indeterminate. Therefore the *Bodhisattvabhūmi* (*Dichi*) states, "Only the Tathāgata is entirely wholesome in all respects." In the *Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa* (*Dazhidulun*), it is also spoken in the same way; hence it proclaims that the eighteen unshared attributes are solely wholesome. The karmas of the three natures are briefly treated as such.
