7.39

次就人處分別其相。言就人者，依如《雜心》，唯男與女能成逆罪，唯男不能成其逆罪。就五逆中，破僧之罪局唯男子，不通男女。《成實》無文，准彼所明七惡律儀，不能男等得有成義，五逆應然。於中破僧，其唯男子，餘通男女，不能男等亦能起之。言就處者，所謂三界五道處也。三界之中，欲界能起，上界不能；五道之中，人趣起之。就人趣中，破僧、出血局在閻浮，餘通三天，除欝單越（此五門竟）。

Next is differentiating their characteristics according to persons and places. As for persons: according to the *Saṃyuktābhidharmahṛdaya*, only men and women can accomplish the deadly sins; impotent men cannot accomplish the deadly sins. Among the five deadly sins, the sin of schism is restricted exclusively to men and does not apply to women. The *Tattvasiddhi* has no explicit text, but based on what it clarifies regarding the seven bad restraints, impotent men and the like are able to accomplish them; the five deadly sins should be likewise. Among them, schism is only for men, while the rest apply to both men and women, and impotent men and the like can also commit them. As for places: this refers to the places among the three realms and five destinies. Among the three realms, the desire realm can commit them, while the higher realms cannot; among the five destinies, the human destiny commits them. Within the human destiny, schism and shedding blood are restricted to Jambudvīpa, while the rest apply to the other three continents, excluding Uttarakuru. (This concludes the fifth section.)
