8.20

次就凡聖分別四有。凡聖雖異，齊具四有。凡夫可知。聖人之中，學具四有；無學唯三，略無生有，無學聖人更不生故。四有如是。

Next is differentiating the four states of existence in relation to ordinary beings and noble ones. Although ordinary beings and noble ones differ, they are all endowed with the four states of existence. Ordinary beings can be known. Among noble ones, those in training (śaikṣa) possess all four existences; those beyond training (aśaikṣa) possess only three, omitting existence at birth, because noble ones beyond training are not born again. Such are the four states of existence.
