8.25

次就三世分別住義。若依《毘曇》，於三世中同時相依，斯名識住，異時則非。若依《成實》，於三世莫問同時及與異時，但令緣著，皆是識住。不簡前。四識住義，略之云爾。

Next is the differentiation of the meaning of abiding in terms of the three periods of time. According to the Abhidharma, within the three periods of time, simultaneous mutual reliance is called an abode of consciousness; different times are not so. According to the Tattvasiddhi, within the three periods of time, without asking whether it is simultaneous or at different times, as long as it causes object-grasping attachment, all are abodes of consciousness, not restricting to the preceding. The meaning of the four abodes of consciousness is briefly stated thus.
