滅盡定義九門分別（釋名辨體一　出入之相二　時節分齊三　就界分別四　就地分別五　有漏無漏分別六　就人分別七　對第八解脫辨其同異八　釋文九）

The meaning of the cessation samādhi is distinguished through nine gates: (1) explaining the names and determining the substance; (2) the marks of entry and emergence; (3) duration and limits; (4) classification according to realm; (5) classification according to stage; (6) classification as tainted or untainted; (7) classification according to persons; (8) determining sameness and difference with respect to the eighth liberation; (9) interpreting the texts.
