Question: If so, why has it always been said that when conditions accord with the teaching of the two truths and generate cognition, the teaching turns and is named the object? Explanation: These are unrelated; the former concerns the converting agent, and the latter concerns those to be converted. This undergoes two transitions in total: first, the object turns into the teaching; later, the teaching turns into the object. How so? The Tathāgata's two cognitions illuminating is named the object; next, speaking to express the One Path turns and is named the teaching. When those to be converted accord with this teaching in dependence on conditions, recognize the teaching, awaken to the principle, and generate cognition, the teaching turns and is named the object. This is why truth as teaching is named either the object or the teaching.
