2.71

問：既非於諦，得是何物耶？解云：得是教諦。然諸佛菩薩從實方便起迹現身說教，所現不出形聲，故形聲等竝是教諦。何者？此兩種竝諦。當根緣不差，是故名諦。此之兩種實能表道，是故名諦也。

Question: Since it is not truth from perspective, what can it be? Explanation: It can be truth as teaching. The Buddhas and bodhisattvas manifest traces, display bodies, and expound teachings from the skillful means of reality; what they manifest does not exceed form and sound, and so form, sound, and the like are all truth as teaching. Why? These two kinds are both true. Because they match the capacities and conditions without discrepancy, they are therefore named truth. Because these two kinds can truly express the Way, they are therefore named truth.
