第二、明真智也。聖明，即般若也。非是般若奇特明達，何能以神情契合中道非有非無之理哉？即此非有非無是中道畢竟空，故云有無之間耳。

Second, clarifying true wisdom: "Sage-like illumination" is precisely prajñā. If it were not for the extraordinary, distinct penetration of prajñā, how could one match one's spiritual consciousness with the Middle Way principle of neither existence nor non-existence? This neither existence nor non-existence is precisely the Middle Way of ultimate emptiness; hence he says "between existence and non-existence."
