If one can use the marvelous mind-prajñā right within conditionally arisen, shifting, and transforming things to understand the principle of immutability, since things are near, the principle is also not far; this conversely reveals that discarding things to seek it moves ever further from the principle. Qingliang says: "The ultimate goal is not far; if the mind's practice attains it, it is exceedingly deep." Below, the treatise says "touching matters, one is in reality," and so forth.
