1.246

初四句躡前釋成以理事相即故互存、相奪故互亡也。後四句躡前釋成非有非無之中也。此中真諦故無、俗諦故有，相奪兩非，第一真也。

The first four lines follow upon the preceding to explain that because principle and phenomena are mutually identical, they mutually persist, and because they mutually negate, they mutually perish. The latter four lines follow upon the preceding to explain the middle that is neither existent nor non-existent. Herein, by ultimate truth it is non-existent, and by conventional truth it is existent; mutually negating both, it is the foremost true.
