Approaching things to show the true nature and true things, conventional names and characteristics are not established. The Ghanavyūha Sūtra states: "From the union of the two, discrimination arises; names and pramāṇas also do not exist." "Not true" is precisely the "unreal" in the title; "in what sense can they be things" is precisely the word "emptiness" in the title. From here below, it elaborates following the doctrine, in each case first citing the teaching and then explaining the meaning according to the teaching. Although the texts vary, the doctrinal purport is not different. Now, following the synthesis in the treatise, whether in terms of emptiness and form, or based on the two truths, and so forth, it clarifies each in turn. In general, they all rely on all dharmas to clarify that they are not different from the foremost truth.
