論序云：般若之體非有非無，虛不失照、照不失虛，故曰不動等覺而建立諸法。下章云：異乎人者神明，故不可以事相求之耳。又云：用即寂、寂即用，神彌靜、應逾動。

"The preface to the treatise says: 'The substance of prajñā is neither existent nor non-existent; being empty it does not lose illumination, and illuminating it does not lose emptiness; therefore it is said that without moving from equal awakening, it establishes all dharmas.' A subsequent chapter says: 'What distinguishes him from [ordinary] men is divine illumination; hence one cannot seek him through phenomenal characteristics.' It also says: 'Function is identical to quiescence, quiescence is identical to function; the spirit becomes all the more still, while the response becomes all the more active.'"
