不唯與遠公詳省，又示諸懷道者，亦數有和而許者。廬山名士高人如慧持、慧永輩非少，而和者固非聊爾。節者，樂之音節，若今之擊板以節樂也。

Not only did he examine it closely with Master Yuan, but he also showed it to those who cherish the Way, and there were also many who harmonized and approved. Eminent scholars and lofty persons of Mount Lu like Huichi and Huiyong were not few, and their harmonizing was certainly no casual matter. 'Rhythm' refers to the tempo and beats of music, like tapping clappers to mark the tempo of music today.
