據前難，先難覩變之知，謂有所取，然後云宜先定聖心。此難通有二意：一難有取、二難心異。今答中先答心異，躡此後答不取，文義相順故也。

Based on the previous objection, he first objected to the cognition that beholds changes, saying that it entails grasping, and then said that one ought first to determine the sage mind. This objection has two general meanings: first, objecting to having grasping; second, objecting to the mind being divided. In the present reply, he first answers regarding the division of the mind, and following this he subsequently answers regarding non-grasping, because text and meaning are mutually compliant.
