'Not' also means forgetting the marks of utmost greatness and utmost vastness. Through forgetting greatness, it is called 'minor accomplishment.' It merely borrows the small to eliminate the great; how could it abide in minor accomplishment? Through forgetting vastness, it returns to the nameless. To summarize the preceding intention: it means giving rise to function based on substance, and function itself being eternally substance; it is not that substance at the time is without function, nor that function at the time is without substance—substance and function are neither abiding nor non-abiding.
