'Deliberate analysis' (shu) is named as the mental factor of wisdom; 'analysis' (yuan) is wisdom itself; 'cessation' (jin) is the truth of cessation; meaning that undefiled wisdom cuts off all afflictions and realizes the principle of the truth of cessation. In the Tang translation it is named pratisamkhyā-nirodha-asaṃskṛta. 'Cessation not through deliberate analysis' (apratisamkhyā-nirodha) means that all dharmas cease of themselves when conditions are absent. Among these three, the second is taken as Hīnayāna nirvāṇa, and the third is the same as the Confucian and Daoist idea mentioned before, where existence enters non-existence; this shows that existence and non-existence encompass both the mundane and supramundane, since nirvāṇa without remainder is a supramundane dharma.
