十演之三也。超,越也。境,即有無六塵之境。徵中欲以有無統收涅槃,演中指二法俗諦之境,涅槃真諦卓然超越,以破外宗有無之見。

This is the third of the ten expositions. 'Transcending' (chao) means surpassing. 'Realms' (jing) refers to the realms of existence, non-existence, and the six sense objects. In the challenge, the opponent wished to subsume nirvāṇa under existence and non-existence; in the exposition, the author points out that these two dharmas are the realm of conventional truth, whereas nirvāṇa is the ultimate truth, toweringly transcendent, thereby refuting the non-Buddhist views of existence and non-existence.
