初喻，次法。免患既同，無為定一。而云下，舉前違文。彼岸下，約法約人，先定其理，而後難云。

First is the metaphor, next is the Dharma. Since escaping affliction is identical, the unconditioned is certainly one. The phrase "Yet you say" onwards raises the earlier text that appears contradictory. The phrase "The other shore" onwards first fixes the principle in terms of Dharma and person, and then objects.
