人證法時，人法必即也。所以亦三者，理雖一味，證有淺深，故於法略示。下喻及合中具顯。

When a person realizes the Dharma, person and Dharma are necessarily identical. The reason they are also three is that, although the principle is of a single flavor, realization has depth and shallowness; therefore it is briefly indicated in terms of the Dharma. The metaphor below and its application make it fully manifest.
