何者（徵）？有心則眾庶是也，無心則太虛是也。眾庶止於妄想，太虛絕於靈照。豈可止於妄想、絕於靈照，標其神道而語聖心者哉？

Why is this? Having a mind is what ordinary multitudes are; having no mind is what the great void is. The ordinary multitudes stop at false conceptualization; the great void is severed from luminous illumination. How could one, stopping at false conceptualization or being severed from luminous illumination, take them to designate the spiritual path and speak of the sage mind?
