無得而得，正由冥通。冥通之道，體遍一切。故《楞伽經》云：「以知眾生本來而入涅槃，誰獨不得？」此則本來得矣。而前云捨陰存陰謂內謂外，如是分別非為正問。

Attainment by non-attainment is precisely due to dark communion. The Way of dark communion is omnipresent in substance. Therefore the Laṅkāvatārasūtra says: "Because one knows that sentient beings are fundamentally entered into nirvāṇa, who alone does not attain it?" This then is fundamentally attained. Whereas earlier it spoke of shedding the aggregates or preserving the aggregates, calling it internal or external—such distinctions are not proper inquiries.
