出處，猶動靜也。出名有餘、處名無餘，出處不同，有無名異。應物而有、不應則無，以故為假。

“Emerging and resting” is like movement and stillness. Emerging is named “with remainder”; resting is named “without remainder.” Because emerging and resting differ, the names “with” and “without” differ. They exist when responding to beings, and do not exist when not responding; hence they are provisional.
