Because deliberations of wisdom are not unified, it is called "mixed poison," just as worldly poisons are able to harm life. "Fetters and shackles" are instruments of punishment: binding the feet is called fetters; binding the hands is called shackles. Fetters and shackles confine people, and people truly detest them; the form can afflict people, and the detestation should be just the same. From "profound silence" down, it shows the faults. "Profound silence" refers to [nirvāṇa] without remainder. The simultaneous presence of both body and wisdom has two faults: first, distancing from [nirvāṇa] without remainder; second, giving rise to toil and affliction.
