第一總辨諸教、業、宗、體、名。於中略以五門分別：一教益有殊、二時利差別、三詮宗各異、四體性不同、五得名懸隔。

First, the general analysis of the teachings, functions, doctrines, essential natures, and names. Within this, they are briefly distinguished through five gates: 1. Differences in the benefit of the teachings; 2. Distinctions in temporal efficacy; 3. Differences in expressed doctrine; 4. Diversity of essential nature; 5. Divergence in acquired names.
