4.48

性境不隨心，獨影唯從見，
帶質通情本，性種等隨應。
能食及所食，此依身所住，
能見此如理，所求二諦空。
為常益有情，為不捨生死，
為善無窮盡，故菩薩觀空。
為種性清淨，為得諸相好，
為淨諸佛法，故菩薩觀空。
補特伽羅法，實性俱非有，
此無性有性，故別立二空。

"The intrinsic nature of the object does not conform to the mind; / The solitary shadow conforms solely to the seeing aspect; / That which carries substance connects both the subjective affect and the base; / Their natures, seeds, and so forth conform as appropriate. / The eater and that which is eaten, / The basis upon which this body abides: / One who is able to see this in accordance with reality / Seeks the emptiness of the two truths. / In order to constantly benefit sentient beings, / In order not to abandon birth and death, / In order that wholesomeness be inexhaustible, / Therefore the bodhisattva contemplates emptiness. / In order to purify the spiritual lineage, / In order to attain all the marks and signs, / In order to purify all Buddha-dharmas, / Therefore the bodhisattva contemplates emptiness. / The person and phenomena (dharmas) / Are both devoid of substantial nature; / Through this having the nature of nonexistence, / Therefore the two emptinesses are distinctly established."
