1.30

淨依者依二利生：一知自近菩提，二知利他方便故。巧便勝得進上地方便故，出離勝者善思惟，住諸地中所建立法故。

The pure basis relies on two benefits to arise: first, knowing that oneself is near to bodhi; second, knowing the expedients for benefiting others. The surpassing skillfulness is obtaining the expedients to advance to higher stages. The surpassing departure is skillfully reflecting on and abiding in the dharmas established within the various stages.
