《業報差別經》云：有十種業，能令眾生得短命報：一自行殺生、二勸他令殺、三讚歎殺、四見殺隨喜、五於怨憎所欲令喪滅、六見怨滅已心生歡喜、七者壞他胎藏、八者教人毀壞、九者建立天祀屠殺眾生、十者教人鬪戰互相殘害。

The Sūtra on the Distinctions of Karmic Retribution says: There are ten kinds of karma that cause sentient beings to receive the retribution of a short life: first, personally taking life; second, encouraging others to kill; third, praising killing; fourth, rejoicing at seeing killing; fifth, desiring the annihilation of enemies and those one hates; sixth, feeling joy in one's heart upon seeing an enemy destroyed; seventh, destroying the womb of another; eighth, teaching others to destroy [it]; ninth, establishing shrines to gods and slaughtering sentient beings; tenth, inciting people to wage war and mutually harm one another.
